Job summary

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital of San Antonio seeks a Patient Care Tech to join our team. The CNA will stock Recovery Room bedsides, dress and walk patients, assist with bathroom needs, answer call lights, phones, and support RN as needed.

The role includes transporting patients at discharge, screening questionnaires, cleaning beds, maintaining linens, and monitoring nourishment and supply levels to ensure patient comfort and safety in a 25-bed surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant credential required.
• One year of relevant duties experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Ability to interview patients and follow clinical protocols.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Stock Recovery Room bedsides and prepare patient areas.
• Dress and assist patients, walk patients, and aid to bathroom.
• Answer call lights and phones; assist RN as needed.
• Transport patients at discharge; monitor food supply and nourishments.
• Clean and remake beds; report when food/restock is needed.
• Assist with screening questionnaires and bedside reporting.
