Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Norman, OK, is seeking a Regular Full Time Nursing Assistant for the Surgical Unit. You will provide basic patient care, help maintain a safe, clean environment, and relay vital signs to the patient’s nurse as part of a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, CNA certification (or six months recent CNA experience), and current BLS. Schedule is 7a-7p on the day shift, with on-site responsibilities and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) or 6 months recent CNA experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required and maintained through employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment.
• Takes and records vital signs and relays to the nurse.
• Provides general nursing care and routine procedures.
• Performs clerical receptionist and coordinating support duties.
• Performs other department-specific duties.
