Job summary

Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative seeks a Surgical Pathology Clinical Lab Technologist to process, prepare, and examine surgical and biopsy specimens. You will operate microtomes, tissue processors, cryostats, and automated stainers, while maintaining QA/QC and complying with CAP/CLIA requirements.

Located at the Moses campus, this on-site role requires a NY CLT license and experience with histology techniques and IHC staining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science or medical technology is required.
• New York State CLT license is required; ASCP HT/HTL preferred.
• Histology techniques and IHC staining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run tissue processor to prepare paraffin blocks and embed specimens.
• Cut pathology sections on a rotary microtome and stain with H&E.
• Perform routine and special stains (GMS, AFB, PAS) as needed.
• Prepare and label slides; sign out cases with accuracy.
• Maintain QA/QC records and ensure regulatory compliance.
