Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Lab Technologist to work in the Surgical Pathology laboratory. This position involves preparing pathological slides and ensures high standards in laboratory procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, as well as experience with various histology techniques and necessary laboratory equipment.

The working hours are 9:00 am – 5:30 pm with alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, medical technology required.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required.
• Histopathology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run tissue processor to produce paraffin blocks.
• Cut pathology specimens on a rotary microtome.
• Stain tissue sections and perform routine quality control.
