Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in Manhasset, NY invites a Physician Assistant to join the PreOP PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center team. You will provide comprehensive medical care, coordinate therapeutic measures, and perform delegated duties under physician supervision within NYU Langone Health guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold a BA-PA, NYS PA license, and NCCPA board certification, with BLS. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred. A strong team orientation and commitment to quality care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physician Assistant BA-PA degree and NYS PA license.
• NCCPA board certification required; BLS through AHA.
• Preferred ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications may be required depending on privileges.

Responsibilities

• Support mission and standards of the institution and service.
• Educate patients and families to promote healthy adjustments.
• Evaluate treatment plans and modify per protocols.
• Prescribe medications within NYS law and practice policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Maintain PA board certification and CME requirements.
• Promote patient throughput and continuity of care across services.
