Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Physician Assistant II (PA-2) PRN to provide First Assist in the OR across multiple service lines, perform post-operative rounds, and coordinate care with the surgical team. The role includes performing bedside procedures and teaching PA students, with a focus on quality and compliant documentation.

Requirements include ARC-PA-certified PA program, PANCE/PANRE, Maryland license with prescriptive authority, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA certified PA program.
• Pass PANCE and PANRE when applicable.
• Must hold Maryland PA license and prescriptive authority (CDS/DEA).
• Minimum 2 years surgical PA experience or 1 year surgical + 2 years non-surgical.
• Ability to work in OR and inpatient units; proficient in bedside procedures.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide First Assist in OR for multiple specialties.
• Perform daily post-operative rounds and coordinate care.
• Order tests and treatments; develop plans with supervising physicians.
• Perform bedside procedures when credentialed.
• Precept PA students and new graduates.
• Support quality initiatives, medication reconciliation, and SCIP/VTE programs.
• Assist with compliant professional billing.
