Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic invites applications for a part-time Physician Assistant II (PA-2) PRN. The PA will provide First Assist in the OR for multiple surgical lines and manage post-operative care under physician supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, efficient communication with hospital departments, and active participation in quality initiatives and compliant billing practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Pass PANCE and PANRE as applicable.
• Maintains MD Maryland PA license.
• Qualify for CDS/DEA prescriptive authority.
• Minimum 2 years surgical PA experience or 1 year surgical + 2 years non-surgical experience.
• Proficient in OR and inpatient care; able to perform bedside procedures with ultrasound guidance.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide First Assist in OR for multiple surgical specialties.
• Perform post-operative rounds and manage ongoing care.
• Order tests and initiate treatment plans with supervising physician approval.
• Perform bedside procedures (e.g., IV access, drain placements) as credentialed.
• Precept PA students and new graduates.
