Job summary

Qualifications

• BS is required for consideration.
• MS is preferred for advanced practice.
• PA program preferred for surgical PA roles.
• NYS licensed and registered Physician's Assistant required.
• NCCPA certification required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through AHA required.
• OHS Fit Test required.
• OHS Annual Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as delegated by supervising physician.
• Formulate diagnoses and develop and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor effectiveness of treatments and adjust as needed.
• Assist in surgical procedures.
• Provide counseling and education to meet patient needs.
• In emergencies, have authority to treat in hospital settings when qualified.
