Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Certificate of completion from an operating room technician program.
• Minimum of one-year recent preoperative experience.
• BLS certification required; ORT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesiologists with instruments and supplies.
• Maintain asepsis and sterile technique during procedures.
• Prepare instrumentation and case carts, drapes, and gowns as needed.
• Assist with specimen handling and proper disposal of sharps, blood and waste.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain a clean operating room environment.
