Job summary

Stamford Ambulatory Surgical Center in Stamford, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse to support perioperative services. Responsibilities include patient assessment, vital signs, prepping OR, aseptic technique, assisting in surgery, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an ADN or BSN.
• CT RN license required; BLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications preferred but not required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs and condition.
• Prepare operating room and patient area with aseptic technique.
• Assist in positioning the patient and supporting safety.
• Scrub in when required and handle instruments for the procedure.
• Document care accurately in the EMR and ensure correct patient and procedure.
