Job summary

UCHealth Longs Peak ASC in Longmont, CO seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for direct patient care in a surgical setting. This onsite role requires circulating and scrub competencies, with a focus on patient safety, sterile technique, and collaboration with the surgical team.

The role offers full-time hours, a dayshift schedule, and a pay range of $37.06–$57.44 per hour, dependent on experience. BLS, PALS, ACLS, and CNOR are valued, with BSN preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• PALS and ACLS certifications.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating functions before surgery by preparing the operating environment, orienting and assessing the patient, and reviewing medical records and surgeon notes to ensure prerequisites and preferences are met.
• Ensures safety checklists and procedures are implemented and documented at all times.
• Performs circulating functions during surgery, monitors patient condition, documents interventions, and controls room traffic.
• Performs scrub functions: instrument handling and counts with circulating nurse.
• Provides nursing care to high acuity surgical patients in a technically complex environment.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
