Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Surgical Patient Care Technician to support the operating room team in Lanham, MD. Under RN supervision, you will help with OR set-up, readiness, and turnover to maximize surgical scheduling efficiency.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of surgical patient care experience and a high school diploma. Training in sterile processing and BLS certification is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of surgical patient care technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pull equipment/instruments per physician cards.
• Prepare ORs for use and maintain room turnover between cases.
• Restock OR inventory per PAR levels and open sterile supplies as needed.
• Assist surgical team in positioning patients and handling specimens.
• Transport patients to OR and PACU and assist with blood product handling as directed.
