Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking an OR Assistant to help with room turnover, equipment handling, and sterile supply tasks. The role includes supporting OR readiness through patient transport and room prep, and assisting nursing staff with patient flow and related duties.

The position requires high school education, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Orientation will include 7-3p shifts, 5 days a week for 3-4 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Desire for strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing timely room/case turnover by gathering, checking, organizing equipment and supplies; assist with sterile items and precept new OR Assistants.
• Assist with OR readiness through patient transport, positioning and room preparation; assist nursing staff with patient flow and related duties.
