Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN - Registered Nurse for Surgical Oncology on the Night shift. The RN I works under supervision to provide high-quality care in a hospital setting and supports physicians, families, and the care team.

Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor of Nursing and 0-3 years of nursing experience. Licensure to practice in Oklahoma and BLS certification on hire are required.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 0-3 years of patient care experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and nursing practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to interventions and changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers safe, competent patient care and communicates care plans.
