Job summary

HMFP at BIDMC, Inc. is seeking a surgical oncologist to teach medical students and residents, conduct clinical research, and provide patient care for complex gastrointestinal malignancies. The ideal candidate will have board certification or eligibility, along with fellowship training in surgical oncology.

The compensation for this role ranges from $328,800 to $670,900 and may include performance-based bonuses. Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and retirement plans are offered.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility as a surgical oncologist is required.
• Fellowship training in surgical oncology is necessary.
• Experience in managing complex GI malignancies and HIPEC procedures is preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students and surgery residents.
• Conduct clinical and/or basic research.
• Provide patient care for complex gastrointestinal malignancies, including Cytoreductive Surgery with Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC).
• Collaborate multidisciplinary across specialties.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible as a surgical oncologist.
• Fellowship trained in surgical oncology.
• Academic surgical oncologist experience preferred; new fellowship graduates with exceptional promise will be considered.
• Experience managing complex gastrointestinal malignancies and HIPEC procedures.
• Skill in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation

Pay Range: $328,800 - $670,900. Compensation may also include performance-based incentives such as bonuses for productivity and quality.
