Boston Medical Center seeks a Surgical Nurse Director to lead nursing practice, drive quality and safety, and develop leaders within a collaborative, interprofessional environment.

The role focuses on implementing strategies for equitable, efficient, and patient-centered care, while advancing Magnet culture and staff education. Masters in nursing and RN licensure in MA are required, with certification preferred and expected within 2 years.

Formación

• The Surgical Nurse Director is a Registered Nurse with a master's degree or in process to complete within 6 months of hire.
• Active Massachusetts RN license; professional certification preferred, required within 2 years of hire.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience; at least 1 year in the assigned specialty.
• Multilingual skills are highly desirable; strong knowledge of surgical services and primary care.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and supervise nursing practice to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to set clinical priorities and care plans.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality/safety initiatives at unit level.
• Develop staff through mentorship, education, and succession planning.
• Align department goals with hospital strategy and Magnet principles.
