Job summary

UCLA West Valley Medical Center is seeking an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Supervisor (or PA Supervisor) to oversee APP staff and collaborate with surgeons to manage surgical patient care across General, Cardiac, Vascular, and Urology services.

The role emphasizes supervision, education, and program development, with a salary range of $140,200–$331,800 annually. Strong leadership, clinical expertise, and interprofessional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• CA RN License is required.
• CA NP License with Schedule II furnishing and national certification (ANCC) in ACNP is required.
• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (Adult-Gero ACNP) is required.
• NPI, DEA, PECOS, CURES enrollment required.
• At least 5 years NP experience in a surgical setting is required.
• Surgical ICU experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and administer the practice of advanced healthcare professionals.
• Work alongside attending physicians to care for surgical patients in General, Cardiac, Vascular, and Urology services.
• Implement and monitor standardized procedures for patient care; coordinate education and orientation for APP staff.
• Interview, hire, and evaluate APP staff in collaboration with Medical Director.
• Lead quality improvement projects based on outcomes data and coordination with hospital committees.
