Job summary

Henry Ford Health Macomb Hospital seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Surgery OR Team. The role focuses on perioperative surgical care, assisting in the OR, and performing procedures within credentialing.

Weekday schedule with no weekends, strong collaboration with surgeons and the surgical team. Proficiency in wound closure is required; OR First Assist experience is mandatory; robotic proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current Michigan licensure or in process.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required or obtained after hire.
• PA: NCCPA certification; NP: national certification recognized by Michigan.
• OR First Assist experience and wound closure proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative surgical care and assist in the operating room.
• Perform procedures within training and credentialing, with emphasis on OR support.
• Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary team in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
