Owensboro Health Medical Group in Leitchfield, KY is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to diagnose and treat acute or chronic conditions in collaboration with a physician.

The position requires state licensure (RN and APN) in Kentucky, national board certification, and the ability to provide preventive care, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families. Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Mon-Fri hours.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
RN licensed in Kentucky required upon hire.
APRN license in Kentucky required upon hire.
National certification from recognized nurse practitioner boards required upon hire.
Neonatal or pediatric NP certifications accepted upon hire.

Responsibilities

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
May perform preventive health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral.
Provides counseling and education to patients and families.
