Job summary

USPI Crown Point Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team. The position is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or call; some early mornings and later evenings may be required, schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Responsibilities include inventory control, ordering all medical supplies, receiving and stocking, quarterly inventory accounting, and processing paperwork for administration.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; CST certification preferred.
• Current CPR.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Computer skills.
• Experience in materials management in an OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Orders and maintains all medical inventory. Orders miscellaneous supplies for center.
• Performs quarterly inventory accounting.
• Receives supplies, checks in per invoice and PO, delivers to proper location, and prepares paperwork for Administrator.
• Follows policies and demonstrates fiscal responsibility; supports peri-operative nursing care per standards.
• Researches pricing/quotes for equipment and supplies; maintains files per procurement requirements.
• Facilitates receipt/repair/replacement of damaged equipment; collaborates with Nurse Manager and Administrator.
