Bellevue Veterinary Emergency + Specialty Hospital in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join its surgery team. You will perform preop assessments, assist during procedures, and ensure careful monitoring and accurate documentation to support world-class pet care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.
• WA state Veterinary Technician License in good standing; VTNE completed.
• Strong organization, communication, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, efficient, quality medical care to clients and pets.
• Obtain patient history from clients and referrers as needed.
• Perform initial evaluation, collect data, observe, and check vitals.
• Assist Veterinarian throughout examination, procedures, and treatment phases.
• Restrain pets during exams as needed and maintain records.
• Collect samples, perform tests, and update medical charts.
• Educate clients on pet health, nutrition, and prevention.
• Take X-rays, interpret results with Veterinarian, and manage prescriptions.
• Administer injections and medications under supervision; venipuncture/catheterization.
• Prepare patients, meds, and equipment for surgery; support team collaboration.
• Follow policies and care standards; undertake other duties as requested.
