Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a Surgery LVT with advanced anesthesia experience to join a board‑certified surgeon and manage induction through recovery on a diverse caseload.

You will contribute to complex surgical cases, maintain meticulous records, and collaborate with ER and specialty teams in a fast‑paced, learning‑driven environment that values accountability, compassion, and gold‑standard patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required.
• Previous surgical and anesthesia experience required.
• Experience with advanced anesthesia, analgesia, and ventilator use strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures.
• Utilize advanced anesthesia and analgesia protocols tailored to each patient.
• Operate and monitor ventilators during anesthesia.
• Assist with and support complex surgical procedures alongside a board-certified surgeon.
• Run anesthesia for CT imaging cases.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, lab work, and pre-op assessments.
• Monitor sedated and hospitalized surgical patients.
• Maintain sterile technique and support surgical suite efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding procedures and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with ER and specialty teams for both scheduled and emergency surgical cases.
