Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) in Gig Harbor, WA, seeks a Surgery LVT to lead advanced anesthesia and surgical care. You will work closely with a board-certified surgeon from induction through recovery, handling a demanding caseload with precision.

The role emphasizes high-acuity situations, analgesia, and expert collaboration to deliver gold-standard patient care. This is a growth-focused surgical specialty position in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active LVT credential required.
• Experience in surgery and anesthesia required.
• Experience with advanced anesthesia, analgesia, and ventilator use preferred.
• Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures.
• Utilize advanced anesthesia and analgesia protocols tailored to each patient.
• Operate and monitor ventilators during anesthesia.
• Assist with and support complex surgical procedures alongside a board-certified surgeon.
• Run anesthesia for CT imaging cases.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, lab work, and pre-op assessments.
• Monitor sedated and hospitalized surgical patients.
• Maintain sterile technique and support surgical suite efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding procedures and aftercare.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with ER and specialty teams for both scheduled and emergency surgical cases.
