Job summary

Wagoner Community Hospital is seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Surgery to support patients before, during, and after procedures. You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist in sterile surgical prep while collaborating with surgeons and RNs.

Minimum qualifications include an Oklahoma LPN license and completion of an accredited practical nursing program. Preferred are OR experience, BLS, and familiarity with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma LPN license and completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Experience in surgical or operating room settings is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and familiarity with EHRs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery with pre-operative assessments and ensure documentation is complete.
• Monitor vital signs during procedures and report changes to the team.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as directed by the nurse or physician.
• Maintain a sterile environment and assist in setting up and breaking down surgical instruments.
• Provide post-operative care and educate patients on aftercare and recovery.
