Job summary

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the State of Florida renewed every two years.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Successful completion of a 30-hour approved IV therapy course within 30 days of hire for inpatient/SNF only.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in advanced practical nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit specific requisite skills.
• Communicates information regarding the patient’s condition to the RN and other healthcare team members.
• Assists RN or provider during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data and education following hospital and department guidelines.
• Performs triage and determines next steps in care in collaboration with the nursing team.
• Assists with anesthesia equipment setup and support during perioperative procedures.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized unit and adheres to policies and procedures.
