Job summary

Atlantic Vision Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support perioperative care in an ambulatory surgery setting. The LPN will assess patients, administer non-IV medications, and assist operating room staff.

Strong communication, safety focus, and adherence to policies are essential. The position requires an accredited LPN program graduate with an active LPN license, IV certification, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current state LPN license to practice as a practical nurse.
• IV certification and BCLS required.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery environment.
• Understanding of safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and complete patient assessments to provide supportive care before, during and after surgery.
• Communicate pertinent information to coworkers and document appropriately.
• Maintain a safe environment and prevent potential injuries for patients.
• Administer drugs (excluding IV procedures) and other therapeutic measures safely.
• Assist with equipment checks, inventory and routine patient logbooks.
• Follow consent procedures and escalate to supervisors as needed.
