The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce is looking for a full-time Surgical Instrument Technician to join our mission-driven, high-volume spay and neuter team. Responsibilities

  • Clean, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assemble and maintain surgical packs for daily surgery schedules.
  • Assist with patient surgical prep including restraint.
  • Perform biological spore testing and maintain sterilization records.
  • Conduct regular autoclave cleaning and preventative maintenance.
  • Track instrument inventory and report equipment needs.
  • Ensure a continuous supply of sterile instruments and packs throughout the surgical day.

Join Our Mission-Driven High-Volume Spay & Neuter Team

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting high-quality veterinary care? We are seeking a full-time Surgical Instrument Technician to play a critical role in our fast-paced, high-volume spay/neuter clinic.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes work that directly impacts patient safety and surgical efficiency. Every sterile instrument, surgical pack, and successful sterilization cycle helps our team provide services to thousands of animals each year.

Job Duties
  • Clean, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assemble and maintain surgical packs for daily surgery schedules.
  • Assist with patient surgical prep including restraint.
  • Perform biological spore testing and maintain sterilization records.
  • Conduct regular autoclave cleaning and preventative maintenance.
  • Track instrument inventory and report equipment needs.
  • Ensure a continuous supply of sterile instruments and packs throughout the surgical day.
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week.
  • Reports directly to the Clinic Manager.
