Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an Instrument Technician-Surgery to handle inter-departmental instrument needs, coordinate with OR teams, and maintain cleanliness and sterility of instruments. The role includes Immediate Use Sterilization and Biologic Indicator testing responsibilities.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work across OR, Case Carts, and Sterile Processing departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent prioritization/organization skills.
• Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily instrument needs with OR, Case Carts, and Sterile Processing Department.
• Clean, sterilize, and inspect instrumentation to ensure sterility and readiness.
• Manage the Immediate Use Sterilization process and Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
