Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Rockford, IL seeks an Instrument Technician-Surgery to coordinate instrument needs between OR, Case Carts, and Sterile Processing. You will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and inspecting instrumentation and will handle Immediate Use Sterilization and Biologic Indicator testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, prioritization/organization skills, and ability to read computer printouts from task lists.

Responsibilities

• The instrument technician-Surgery will coordinate instrument needs between OR, Case Carts, and Sterile Processing.
• Must be competent in cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting instrumentation.
• Responsible for Immediate Use Sterilization and Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
