Job summary

Boulder Centre for Orthopedics, Broomfield Surgery Center, is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our Operating Room team.

You will clean, decontaminate, sterilize instruments, inspect for damage, and support surgical readiness while collaborating with OR staff to ensure timely availability of sterile equipment. SPD certification and a high school diploma are required. This role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• SPD certification is required.
• Knowledge of surgical instrument management is preferred.
• Familiarity with sterilization methods and autoclaves.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Surgical Readiness: clean, decontaminate, disinfect, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments per protocols.
• Maintain instrument safety by checking cleanliness and functionality.
• Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and ensuring timely availability of sterile equipment.
• Manage instruments and inventory with accurate recordkeeping and restocking.
