University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a Patient Care Technician I - Surgical IMC to deliver direct patient care under licensed nursing supervision. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, monitoring dressings, collecting specimens, drawing blood, and assisting with daily living activities while documenting patient status and communicating with the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, Maryland CNA or GNA certification, and a current

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Maryland CNA or GNA certification required.
BLS certification required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
Proficiency with computer systems for documentation.
Ability to accurately obtain and document blood glucose results.
Capable of performing delegated nursing tasks.

Mansioni

Deliver direct patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
Obtain vital signs and monitor dressings and wound care.
Perform blood draws and collect specimen samples.
Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers).
Document patient status and collaborate with care team.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; ensure safety.
Respond to patient alarms and maintain safe clinical environment.
Oversee patient rooms, supplies, and participate in hourly rounding.
Perform blood glucose monitoring and manage catheter care as needed.
Provide post-mortem care and patient flow support when required.
