San Francisco Veterans Affairs (SFVA) seeks a Surgical Hospitalist to lead PRP coverage, ensure nighttime stability, and maintain a steady supply of PRP physicians in the San Francisco area. The role emphasizes managing inpatient surgical care and coordinating with residents and attendings within the VA system.

Applicants must hold an MD/DO, be fully licensed in the US, and meet ACGME/AOA residency requirements. Strong English proficiency and ACLS/BLS CPR is required.

Formación

• US citizenship per VA policy
• MD/DO degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US
• ACGME/AOA residency or equivalent training
• CPR ACLS/BLS certification

Responsabilidades

• Manage surgical inpatient care, including ward, transitional care units and ICUs
• Evaluate surgical consults in hospital or ED and discuss with Chief resident/Attending
• Provide surgical coverage on-call and perform wound care, debridement and related procedures
• Support stable PRP physician coverage to meet call requirements and staffing
