Job summary

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Certified Surgical First Assistant.
• Graduate of ARC/STSA accredited surgical assistant program.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• English reading, writing and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Determine, obtain and check supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Assist in moving and positioning the patient.
• Maintain the sterile field and aseptic technique during procedures.
• Drape the patient and pass instruments to the surgeon and assistant.
• Assist with hemostasis and closure per surgeon's directive.
