AP Health in Dallas is seeking experienced Ortho Spine/Neurosurgery Physician Assistants to join their surgical team. This role is focused solely on surgical responsibilities, and the ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of surgical first assist experience in neuro and/or spine procedures. Qualifications
At least 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assist in neuro and/or spine surgery.
Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Possess comprehensive understanding of perioperative services.
Responsibilities
Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room.
Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon.
Suturing and retracting of all tissue layers.
Assists in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned.
