Candidates should have a valid NM Nursing license, RNFA Certification, and at least 3 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of RN experience and 2 years of RNFA experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• RNFA activities under supervision of a surgeon.

Responsibilities

• Function as a first assistant in surgery.
• Assist the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, and closure.
• Perform delegated medical functions as qualified RNFA.

Skills

RNFA Certification through AORN

BLS certification

Technical training as a Scrub Nurse or Scrub Technician

Education

Associate's degree in nursing or Diploma of Nursing

Valid NM Nursing license

Successful completion of an RNFA program through AORN
