Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Surgical Technician First Assistant to support perioperative patient care, performing intraoperative first assisting under the surgeon's direct supervision. The role includes directing the perioperative team as needed and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include 2 years of surgical tech experience with current STFA certification, plus completion of a Surgical Technician First Assistant program.

Qualifications

• 2 years Surgical Tech experience and current STFA certification.
• 1 year of Surgical First Assistant experience preferred.
• Documentation of proficiency as a surgical first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procedures for surgical patients per policies.
• Provide intraoperative intraoperative care.
• Safely use equipment and supplies based on patient needs.
