LCMC Health is seeking a Surgical First Assistant in Metairie, Louisiana, to provide essential surgical support, including aiding in exposure, hemostasis, and closure during operations. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of supervised surgical experience and a diploma from an accredited Surgical First Assist program.
The role involves collaboration with surgical teams and adherence to LCMC policies to ensure optimal patient care. Robotic experience is highly preferred. This position offers a dayshift with competitive benefits.
Your job is more than a job. The Surgical First Assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. In addition, performs preoperative and post-operative duties to better facilitate proper patient care. Performs these functions during the operation under direction and supervision, and in accordance with LCMC policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
