Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures.
• Administer local anesthetic per licensure and practice requirements.
• Obtain licensure/certification to administer IV medications.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes to the team.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection-control protocols.
• Prepare and inspect surgical instruments and supplies.
• Operate sterilization equipment and manage infection control.
• Obtain dental radiographs and digital imaging.
• Document patient narratives and treatment plans.
• Communicate treatment options clearly to patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Perform other clinical duties as assigned.
