Job summary

Coastal Jaw Surgery - Trinity is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to support hands-on patient care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. You will prepare operatories, assist the doctor, review treatment histories and coordinate lab work, while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program, two years of surgical assisting experience, prosthodontics exposure (bone grafts & implants), and

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.
• CPR, BLS and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization and restocking.
• Escort, communicate with and prep patients for care by doctor.
• Review treatment history and progress with patients.
• Monitor oxygen and IV sedation as needed.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours and study models; coordinate labs.
• Record treatment information, schedule appointments and provide follow-up directions.
