Jacksonville Dental Specialists is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to provide hands-on patient care. You will prepare operatory spaces, assist during procedures, and help manage treatment plans with the dental team.

The role requires graduates of an accredited Surgical Assisting program and experience in dental assisting, with a preference for surgical experience in prosthodontics and implants.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program.
• 2 years of Dental Assisting experience required, 3+ years surgical assisting preferred.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.

Aufgaben

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
• Provide positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor.
• Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
• Monitor patients during IV sedation procedures and take vitals.
• Take X-Rays, CBCT imaging, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information, schedule appointments, and provide follow up and post op directions.
