Shared Practices Group in Florida is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to support a fast-growing practice focused on dentures and implants.

You will contribute from day one by organizing the back office, ensuring sterile rooms, assisting chairside, and coordinating with clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• Strong dental terminology knowledge.
• Experience managing inventory and ordering supplies.
• Knowledge of implant procedures (All-on-4, overdentures).
• Proficient in taking alginate impressions.
• Compliance with OSHA infection control.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy standards.
• Skilled at capturing CBCT/panoramic images.
• Positive, professional attitude; team player.
• Highly organized and dependable.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, document meds and alerts, and notify the doctor of concerns.
• Set up/break down operatory equipment; ensure accurate charting per standards.
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and pre/post-op instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per infection control.
• Manage clinical inventory and supplies.
• Support front desk staff as needed to foster teamwork.
• Maintain chairside readiness and follow assisting protocols.
• Oversee basic maintenance of office equipment.
