Job summary

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant in Albuquerque, NM. You will support oral surgeons and prosthodontists during implant procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires prior surgical assistant experience and state-certified credentials. You will help with anesthesia administration, sterilization, x-ray duties, and front-office tasks in a fast-paced, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant required.
• Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
• Strong manual dexterity and precision with surgical instruments.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures.
• Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clear, organized treatment area.
• Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort, monitor well-being, and educate on pre- and post-operative care.
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays following infection control protocols.
• Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions as directed.
• Support office operations by scheduling, greeting patients, and managing supplies as needed.
