Job summary

Daydreams Procedure Center in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

You will prepare operatories, assist during procedures including prosthodontics implants, take X-rays, monitor sedation, and deliver excellent patient service while coordinating with the doctor and lab.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
• Two years of Surgical Assisting experience.
• Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.
• CPR, BLS, & First Aid Certification.
• Proficient with standard surgical office equipment (Autoclave, Statim, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking.
• Escort patients and prep them for care by doctor; review treatment plans with patients.
• Monitor oxygen & IV sedation; take blood pressure.
• Take X-Rays, impressions, pours & study models; coordinate lab cases.
• Record treatment information, schedule appointments, and provide post-op directions.
