Job summary

NÜVA Smile in New Jersey invites a PT Oral Surgeon Dental Assistant to join our busy family practice on Saturdays. X-ray license is required. You will support the Oral Surgeon in all phases of care and help maintain efficient patient flow.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, reliability, and teamwork, with a background in oral surgery assistance and good organizational skills. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Diploma from accredited orthodontic assistant program or relevant clinical experience.
• X-ray license required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of oral surgery procedures, terminology and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist Oral Surgeon in patient assessment and treatment planning.
• Assist and prepare oral surgery procedures.
• Sterilize, set up and prepare oral surgery equipment and instrumentation.
• Preparation and maintenance of medical records and documentation.
• Create patient file entries.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Provide patient instruction and education on oral hygiene and care.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Perform basic laboratory duties.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Manage patient flow.
• Under supervision of the Oral Surgeon, deliver and assist with direct patient care.
• Take diagnostic records.
• Document and prepare cases.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: Haledon and Ridgefield Park, NJ (Saturdays only)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Oral Surgeon in patient assessment and treatment planning
• Assist and prepare Oral Surgery procedures
• Sterilize, set up and prepare oral surgery equipment and instrumentation
• Preparation and maintenance of medical records and documentation
