Our practice, Riverside Oral Surgery, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team! This is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about Oral Surgery and committed to delivering outstanding care.

As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Oral Surgeons with various surgical procedures. This role involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting during surgeries, supporting patients, managing administrative tasks, and more.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing the Treatment Room:
   • Ensure the treatment room is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary instruments and supplies.
   • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments following infection control guidelines.
   • Set up equipment such as suction devices, dental chairs, X-ray machines, and surgical lights.
2. Assisting with Oral Surgery Procedures:
   • Prepare patients for surgery, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
   • Assist Oral Surgeons during procedures, anticipating needs and providing instruments.
   • Maintain a sterile environment and monitor patient vital signs and comfort.
   • Handle and dispose of surgical waste safely.
3. Patient Support and Education:
   • Provide post-operative care instructions and answer patient questions.
   • Educate patients on oral health and maintain accurate records.
4. Administrative Duties:
   • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and assist with billing and inventory.
   • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid X-ray license.
• Experience as a dental assistant, especially in Oral Surgery, is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and oral surgery procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with dental software and computer literacy.
