Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience, oral surgery experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and calm presence in surgical environments.
• Ability to work well in a high-performance surgical team.

Responsabilités

• Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, and patient charts in advance of procedures.
• Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures including sedation, extractions, and implant placements.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide post-operative care instructions.
• Sterilize and maintain instruments following strict surgical protocols.
• Coordinate inventory of surgical supplies.

Schedule

4 days in Albany, 1 day in Latham | Monday‑Thursday 8am‑4pm, Friday 8am‑2pm

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, and patient charts in advance of procedures
• Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures including sedation, extractions, and implant placements
• Monitor and update patient vitals, comfort, and post‑op recovery instructions
• Sterilize and maintain instruments following strict surgical protocols
• Coordinate inventory of surgical supplies and track implant materials
• Support the surgeon and anesthesia team with setup and procedural assistance
• Provide detailed pre‑ and post‑operative instructions to patients and caregivers
• Maintain electronic records, chart treatment notes, and assist with digital imaging as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Completion of a CODA‑accredited dental assistant program (preferred)
• Oral Surgery Assistant Certification (preferred)
• DANB, ICE, RHS certifications (state‑dependent)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience (required | oral surgery preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and calm presence in surgical environments
• A team‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail
