Surgical Dental Assistant at Summit Oral Surgery & Implant Center

Join our dedicated team at Summit Oral Surgery & Implant Center as a Surgical Dental Assistant. Since 1977, we have been proudly serving communities across Montana and Northern Wyoming with compassionate, expert oral surgical care. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgeons and providing an exceptional experience to every patient!

Job Details

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and IV sedation cases.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas following OSHA and CDC standards.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, including taking vitals and providing post-op care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and surgical notes.
• Support the surgical team with room setup, patient flow, and equipment maintenance.
• Travel required to our Miles City, Powell, and Cody locations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dental or surgical assistant preferred.
• Certification in radiology and/or CPR is a plus or willingness to obtain.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Team player with a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced surgical environment.
