Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9E Medical-Surgical unit in Springfield. The role involves caring for adult patients post-surgery with GI/GU focus, administering medications, and monitoring conditions as part of a collaborative team.

The nurse will document care, educate patients and families, and participate in continuing education and professional development. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN license active in Missouri.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for medical-surgical patients on a 30-bed unit with GI/GU focus.
• Assess patient condition and administer medications.
• Monitor vital signs and change dressings as needed.
• Document care and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for outcomes.
