Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Surgical Clinical Reviewer to collect, review and submit accurate surgical data for registry and quality improvement efforts. The role emphasizes data integrity, collaboration with surgical teams and participation in ongoing improvement activities.

The position requires Illinois RN licensure, a bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years of clinical experience, with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with EPIC.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Bachelor degree.
• 3+ years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficient with PC applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Understanding of and ability to use/apply basic statistics.
• Ability to review data/documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients for inclusion in the registry or database.
• Collect preoperative, operative and postoperative data as indicated.
• Record data via the hospital medical records system and program website.
• Lead quality improvement opportunities through data analysis and presentations.
• Collaborate with SCRs and Surgeon/Physician Champion to advance improvement.
• Analyze reports and develop presentations to leverage data for quality efforts.
• Organize and facilitate registry validations and site visits.
