Job summary

UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont is seeking a dedicated OR support technician to plan and organize case carts in accordance with the surgery schedule. This onsite role requires night shifts and close coordination with the Operating Room team to ensure availability of instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining sterilization records, and ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider. Preferred: National sterile processing certification.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
• BLS or CPR card must be current through sixty days after hire.

Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment, instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Ensures availability of specialty instruments and supplies.
• Coordinates available resources with proper sterilization procedures to provide continuity of service.
• Documents issues regarding sterilization and maintains proper sterilization records.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Preferred: National sterile processing certification.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
